Very spacious. Reception area quite nice.

Room was not the best. Toilet flush didnt work. Walls were moulded and paint coming off. Furniture was really old and I didnt even want to touch the sofa. It was really noisy and the whole room was shaking due to the renovation progress in the next room. Thats probably a good thing that they are fixing rooms but did distrupt my stay.

Carlos Rey is a spacious and friendly hotel with excellent acilities & big pool.

Big , spacious room with separate bedroom & bathroom, good balcony & kitchenette included, , excellent

Wouldn’t stay again

The location was great for our short visit. Easy walking distance to Yumbo Centrum and to the beach. The ladies on the pool bar, and in the restaurant at breakfast were lovely

There was a weird drain smell each day when we returned to the room after it had been cleaned. Weren’t allowed to take our drinks from the pool bar to the restaurant to finish while we had our dinner - were asked to buy a drink even though we’d already paid for the meal with the room. Towels were removed during cleaning but not replaced until much later.

We had a nice stay.

Reception very friendly and helpful. It was not very clean, but the sheets and towels were clean. The smell in the shower was terrible. Room very spacious. Kitchen was okay.

The noise from the neighbours. no telephone to call reception. Smell in the bathroom.

Location. So near the Yumbo center. Bus stop to airport so close.

Lack of toaster and kettle and microwave in room. Also , I sent an email to the hotel a few days prior, which was ignored, that would have saved us a lot of bother.

Good

The new restaurant is very nice. The new superior rooms are great. The late check out time option is brilliant as my flight is always at 8pm and the staff are very nice and friendly.

Waaaaaaaaaaay too many kids staying at times, like 50 at a time. It ruins it for everyone else who just want to chill out at the pool for the day but this is impossible with all the shouting and screaming, it is like being in a kindergarten! Also, there always seems to be some sort of construction upgrades work going on, if it is not the horrible sound of angle grinders it is the noise from banging hammers.

Very Good

good location, bus stop right in front of the hotel, the renovated apartment was really nice, all appartments are spacious, terrace with a view, I enjoyed both breakfast and dinner, it´s been a good idea to place it outside under the palm trees. I have been to the hotel before and I will gladly come again

the kitchen in the apartment is really nice, but the equipment lacked basic things such as cups for tea, any sponge for washing dishes and detergent, a knife for slicing. the beds had good mattresses but the metal structure of the beds was old and one of them creaked terribly noisily with any movement

Rey Carlos could do with some upgrades, but is a nice hotel overall

I loved the pool and attached restaurant. The pool is the perfect depth, almost 6feet in the majority. Very comfortable to swim in. I also loved the staff at the pool bar, they were really sound and made the stay memorable! Thanks to Alex & Grace we were made feel welcome! I think once the hotel has finished upgrading all the rooms and (improves the beds & mattresses)and sorts out it's air conditioning issues it can be a 5 star hotel.

I didn't like that I booked an air conditioned room and got a room where staff knew the AC was broken, in July this is unacceptable but they did move me to a new room after one night. I did not like the beds. They were rough to sleep on, the provided couch/sofa bed in the superior rooms are far nicer to sleep on. I stayed on the 4th floor and the cannabis smell was very strong. Additionally, people do not follow the quiet hours signs posted everywhere around the halls. Some people were extremely loud during our stay and that seemed to be the norm

This was my second stay, despite some of the drawbacks, I’ll definitely recommend it

Very Good

My 3y daughter was happy there, she always said we are going back to the kingdom. The food and service was good. I loved their sushi that was available every day Bus stop in front of the hotel. Dunas de Maspalomas not far away. You can check out later for the fee if the hotel is not fully booked. If it is, you can leave your luggage at the reception and stay at the pool.

I would appreciate more sea foods for dinner. Our bedroom was situated on the side of Shopping C. C. so there was a noise from the bars in the evening, it was ok for us but some people could have a problem with that.

Location was good and staff very friendly especially the bar staff.

It's an old hotel to be fair on them but the rooms are very dated and I'm not too fussy but the rooms are dusty again maybe go be expected in a older hotel but some things need fixed

Hotel is a bit outdated. Rather only to sleep as there is nothing after dinner.

Location. Price much cheaper than surrounding hotels.

Feels like you are in Germany. Staff speaking to you in german, even TV only have german chanells and one english, nothing in spanish. That is probably good thing if you are German.

Good value for our short stay.

We needed a place for 1 night between our holiday stay and flight home - Rey Carlos was close by. We had an un-refurbished room. Nice seating area with sofa, beds comfy for us. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. A handy area outside to unload/load our car. Good value. Ideal for our purpose. The foyer scales were handy to check luggage.

For 1 night it was fine for us but the "kitchen area" looked mostly stripped out and wouldn't be much use for a longer stay - book a refurbished room.
